Introduction

KEMAT BELGIUM – Polybutenes was founded in January 1989 with the primary objective of importing liquid polymers from South America. At the time the employees in the company had over twenty years of experience in the chemical industry.

The company acts as polybutene importers, exporters and European distributors of polybutenes from Polibutenos Quimicas maintaining bulk storage tanks and drum inventories in Belgium of the most commonly used grades of PIBs.

Polyisobutylene is used in many applications but mainly in the lubricant, grease, adhesive, sealant, cling film and lube additive markets.

Due to this broad customer base, the company has increased its polybutene product portfolio to include raw materials that are especially used in the lubricant sector.
